Caught ya by surprise with that one eh? Detoxing with coffee! You got all bright eyed and bushy tailed. I’m not talking about detoxing by drinking the coffee, actually the best use of coffee is to use it as an enema! Yep that’s right. My colon therapist taught me this. I was severely dehydrated and she could tell, cause um, well you know. She asked me did I drink coffee and I said, “like water”. She told me it was the problem and it’s best used as an enema and not a drink.
Before I go further, don’t you care about how I’m feeling today? I thought so. I’m tired again, it’s coming in waves. I don’t think I’m drinking enough juices, so I’m gonna have an extra drink. I have a lot of work to do, so I won’t be able to take many breaks.
Back to the coffee enema bit. Don’t worry even if you don’t or can’t drink coffee you can do this. When used as a retention enema (an enema that is held in the body for a specified amount of time) coffee does not go through the digestive system and does not affect the body as a coffee beverage does.
Instead, the coffee solution stimulates both the liver and the gallbladder to release toxins, which are then flushed from the body.
A coffee retention enema is useful during serious illness, after hospitalization and after being exposed to toxic chemicals. In our case it is helpful during fasting and detoxification to relieve the headaches sometimes caused by the quick release of toxins from your body.
Another type of detox enema, is a wheatgrass juice retention enema! Awwww man, another use for wheatgrass juice. Yaaaaay! Now, I must get that electric wheatgrass juicer! This is often used to treat cancer patients and people with chronic illness. Wheatgrass juice contains nearly all the nutrients and enzymes the body needs for healing. If you can’t get fresh, you can use freeze dried, make sure it’s raw. 1 ounce of fresh wheatgrass juice in 1 cup of warm distilled water. During your detox try alternating coffee and wheatgrass enemas.
To make the coffee enema solution, boil 2 quarts of distilled water with 6 heaping tablespoons of organic ground coffee (do NOT use instant or decaffeinated). Boil for 15 minutes, cool to a comfortable temperature and then strain. Use only 1 pint of the strained coffee at a time, you can refrigerate the rest in a closed glass jar. Hold the enema for 15 minutes or until you feel the need to expel. If after 15 minutes you don’t feel the need to expel, get up and walk around until you do!
I will not take for granted that everyone knows how to give an enema, so it goes like this;
- Place enema solution in an enema bag.
- lubricate anus and enema tip, use vitamin E oil (break open a capsule), will help with healing. Don’t use petroleum jelly.
- Assume the best position for receiving the enema solution, which is head down and rear up
- Roll onto right side and hold the solution for 15 minutes. Do not roll from side to side.
- If the liquid is not expelled in 15 minutes, don’t be concerned, walk around until you feel the need to expel!
So I will talk to you tomorrow about another technique that can improve detox results and reduce cellulite!
