How to Make a Green Food Smoothie!

I love making green food smoothies! I have one or two just about every day! I usually use kale as my green food base because it is a super food and it tastes great! there are a variety of fruits and veggies you can use. I offer a free 13 page report with my “How to Reign in Health and Fitness 6 Week Boot Camp!” But to get you started here are a few rules of thumb!

1. Use a high powered blender for best results such as a vitamixer. You can use a regular blender but it will not be as creamy but DO NOT use this as an excuse to not make one!

2. Put your liquid (I use water) as your base first then your fruit and then your greens. This will help it to blend better, it’s okay if you don’t you just may need to add more liquid. I put less liquid and more ice because I want the consistency of a smoothie!

3. Put more greens than fruit! This is a Green food smoothie not the other way around. This is how I usually measure. 2-3 cups kale (or whatever greens mix and match the greens if you are using very bitter ones) 1 cup not more than 1.5 cups of fruit! To me the fruit amounts depend on your weight loss goals and if you’re planning on eating more fruit later. If you want to loose weight I suggest not more than 2 pieces (which is 2 cups) of fruit a day. I speak more about this in the boot camp.

4. Go out and do this today! it’s the easiest and most flavorful way to get live foods in which is the way to ultimate health!
